“Restorative Justice in the Child Protection System”.

The CRC, organized a lecture on “Restorative Justice in the Child Protection System”, the lecture was delivered by Ms. Urvashi Tilak, Director of Restorative Justice & Practices Program at Counsel to Secure Justice. Ms. Urvashi has worked on woman and child rights issues for 14 years and she oversees the development and implementation of restorative justice work and practices at CSJ. In her current role, she has worked directly with children in conflict with the law, through restorative processes, advocating for children and systems change in Juvenile Justice Boards, and has been often engaged as a Resource Expert in capacity-strengthening programs with various government bodies and universities.

The lecture served as an introduction to Restorative Justice and delved into how restorative justice practices are being implemented in the child protection system in India.
