Sonipat,\u00a0March 8,\u00a02016: <\/strong>Distinguished Hon. Mr. Justice Michael D. Wilson, Judge, Supreme Court of Hawai’i and Hon. Ms. Justice Sabrina S. McKenna, Judge, Supreme Court of Hawai’i have been appointed as \u201cHonorary Adjunct Professors\u201d at the Jindal Global Law School of the O.P. Jindal Global University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking on\nthe occasion, Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, O.P. Jindal Global\nUniversity (JGU) and Dean of Jindal Global Law School<\/strong>,\nsaid, \u201cIt is our proud privilege to welcome Justice Wilson and Justice McKenna\nas \u201cHonorary Adjunct Professors\u201d to our university.\u201d Both these judges\njoin another distinguished Indian judge, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dalveer Bhandari,\nJudge, International Court of Justice at The Hague who is also one of the\nHonorary Adjunct Professors of Jindal Global Law School. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Professor\nKumar further observed, \u201cThe founding vision of JGU is to promote\nglobal education across different disciplines led by appointment of faculty\nmembers from different parts of the world with outstanding academic\nqualifications and experience. Mr.\nJustice Michael D. Wilson, Judge, Supreme Court of Hawai’i <\/strong>is\nan eminent legal practitioner with outstanding credentials, Justice Wilson was\nappointed to the Hawai’i Supreme Court on April 17, 2014, after serving as a\nCircuit Court judge of the First Circuit since May 10, 2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Prior to his\nappointment as a Circuit Court judge, Justice Wilson was the director of the\nDepartment of Land and Natural Resources, Chair of the Board of Land and\nNatural Resources, Chair of the State Water Commission and a Trustee of the\nKahoolawe Island Reserve Commission. Previously, he was a partner in the law\nfirms of Pavey Wilson & Glickstein and Hart Wolff & Wilson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Justice\nWilson received his law degree from Antioch School of Law in Washington D.C.,\nand bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was raised\nin Kailua in Hawaii and graduated from Kailua High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hon. Ms.\nJustice Sabrina S. McKenna, Judge, Supreme Court of Hawai’I, is a justice\nof the five member Hawaii Supreme Court and was <\/strong>sworn\nin as Associate Justice on March 3, 2011. She is a graduate of the University\nof Hawai’i at Manoa and a 1982 graduate of the University Of Hawai\u2019i William S.\nRichardson School Of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law\nReview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Justice\nMcKenna was a civil litigator, corporate counsel, and law professor before\nbecoming a Hawai’i state trial court judge in 1993.
