\u2018If it is to be, it is up to me,\u2019 is the mantra Mudit Desai lives by. That\u2019s why, with eyes set on the Gold Class Certification of Project Manager Professional (PMP), Mudit quit his job as Mechanical Design Engineer and got back to academia. Not only did he earned the prestigious certification Post- MBA from Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) because of the consistent hard work and dedication, but he also built a career that took him to the US where he now works as Consulting Project Manager for Thermo Fisher Scientific. \u2018MBA taught me how to live a life,\u2019 he says. Mudit\u2019s\npower-packed journey began as an engineer engaged in developing customized\nproducts for the hydropower industry. But \u2018the world opened to him and became\nmore vivid,\u2019 after he enrolled for the management programme at JGBS. He delved\ndeep into diverse activities on campus to optimize that experience. He was a\nmember of Octaphi, The Operations Management Club, and actively focused on\nresearch. Working with his team, he published the paper \u2018A Speculative Study on\nSkill Gaps in Logistics Industry \u2013 Indian Perspective\u2019 to much acclaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mudit, the MBA experience has been a catalyst in his journey. \u2018The business management education at JGBS was instrumental in laying the foundation of my success story. Education provides students the flexibility and skills needed to succeed in the ever-changing business world,\u2019 he highlights the value additions to his profile. In 2013, he completed his MBA in Operations Management & Marketing and started the second innings of his career on the front foot. Thus began his journey as a successful Project Manager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mudit impressed\nright from the word go in his role at Vijay Tanks and Vessels for Reliance\nIndustries on its mega-expansion project at Jamnagar. He successfully led the\nproject and delivered 103 pieces of factory-fabricated process equipment within\nthe stipulated timeframe. Since then, he has gone on to hold many interesting\nprofiles, including Technical Assistant to the CEO of Elecon Engineering\nCompany Ltd. Mudit revels in roles that involve identifying gaps in organizations and finding solutions to make them\nmore productive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s\nimportant for management professionals to know the pulse of the industry. Mudit\nclearly does, as he was quick to realize the significance of Business Analytics\nin our time. He received his Data Analytics certification from Montgomery\nCollege, and has made data analysis and representation one of his strong points.\nHis business strength areas are complemented by his areas of interest. As an accomplished\noil-on-acrylic painter, Mudit\u2019s work has been showcased in several exhibitions.\nHe has also led the \u2018Caring and Sharing Vadodara\u2019 programme, a non-profit\norganization, and actively organized blood donation camps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
