2015 has been a year of awards and honours for Dr. Sanjeev P\nSahni, Principal Director, Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences\n(JIBS), Professor & Member, Governing Body and Advisor to the Vice\nChancellor, O.P. Jindal University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sahni  was\nconferred the award of \u201c Edupreneur of the Year 2015 \u201c by the Minister of State\nfor Higher and Technical Education, Smt. Vasuben Tridev at a recently held\naward ceremony organised by ASSOCHAM and Education Post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award instituted and announced by ASSOCHAM India and Education\nPost has been conferred on Dr. Sahni for building a university of global\ncompetence and research in India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sahni was conferred Director Generalship of International\nForum on Crimes and Criminal Law in the Global Era in Beijing, China in December\n2015 from Indian academia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International\nForum on Crime and Criminal Law in the Global Era is an international academic\nand research institution. It is the initiative of scholars from 23 countries:\nChina, America, France, German, Italy, Japan, Russia and Spain etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding\nto the list of awards and recognitions Dr. Sahni was awarded the Medal of\nHonour presented by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts the most prominent national academic\ninstitution in Serbia<\/a>. The Academy directs scientific\nresearch projects which are realized in cooperation with other Serbian\nscientific institutions and through international cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr.\nSahni also worked as one of the Project Directors of the Montgomery College, US\n\u2013 India Initiative \u201cTransforming Boundaries\u201d funded by US State Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior\nto his joining O P Jindal Global University Dr. Sahni was Head \u2013 Education with\nJindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), part of USD 15 billion O.P. Jindal\nGroup. He holds a PhD in Organizational Behaviour and a Post Graduate degree in\nPsychology with specialization in Industrial Psychology from Punjab University,\nChandigarh. He has an extensive industry\/government background of 27 years of\nexperience in the field of human resources and behavioral management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\nhas dedicated 14 years as a scientist in Ministry of Human Resource Development\n(HRD) and Sports Authority of India (SAI). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His\ncontribution across the globe has been cosmic. He has worked as a research\nscientist at several universities like University of Houston, Texas, University\nof Illinois, Chicago to name a few. With a perfect blend of academics and\nindustry exposure, he has been invited by several institutes in over 30\ncountries. He has also served as a secretary to Indian Association of Sports\nMedicine and Sports Psychology Association of India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\nhas authored, co-authored, edited and reviewed many books and research papers\nsuch as a Handbook of Sports Psychology, Perceptual Organization of Criminals,\nPerformance Enhancement of Sportsmen, Stress Management etc. He has delivered\nlectures and keynote addresses at various institutes in India and abroad and\nhas published numerous research papers in various national and international\njournals of repute. He is also awarded with fellowship for Indian Association\nof Sports Medicine, Sports Psychology Association of India and Indian Council\nof Medical Research. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sahni is one of the few Indian psychologists\nto have dispensed his immense knowledge towards the development of society and\nnation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
