As Centre Manager, Amit is responsible for overall coordination of Centre activities, supporting research projects, authoring commentaries, briefs and reports, and contributing to Centre activities.

Amit works with the Office of Strategic Initiatives and Institutional Research (OSIIR) at JGU, where he is responsible for project coordination and management of OSIIR projects. He is also responsible for conducting research on themes relating to institutional functions, and identifying new opportunities for OSIIR reports on institutional themes that are of broader interest to academic and non-academic communities in the university. Amit is also Editorial Manager of JGU’s monthly newsletter, Inside JGU.

Amit was a member of the core team that prepared JGU’s application for the Institutions of Eminence project of the Government of India. He was responsible for coordinating various aspects of the project across the University including interacting with faculty members and staff across all Schools, Institutes, Centres and departments,  working with a team of external designers and copyeditors, and reviewing and preparing material received from various departments for submission. Amit also worked as Research Assistant with the e-Pathshala project under the Centre for Human Rights Studies at JGU, where he coordinated with internal stakeholders and external agencies to create customised content for various academic modules.

Prior to joining JGU, Amit worked with Integral PR Services in creating and executing public relations campaigns and strategies for crisis management in organisations.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University, Bhopal. His professional interests include public relations and community engagement.
