Dr. Shamika Ravi is a member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM). She is currently a non-resident senior fellow of the governance studies program at the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C. She was the former Director of Research at Brookings India, and her research focuses on the economics of development, including areas of finance, health, urbanization and gender inequality. Dr. Ravi is a visiting professor of Economics at The BITS School of Management and The Indian School of Business, where she teaches courses in Managerial Economics (Game Theory) and Microfinance.

Mr. Khan is an Advocate at the Chambers of Moazzam Khan. His forte has been advising clients on various cross-border litigations as well as domestic litigations, internal and regulatory investigations, international commercial arbitrations, and enforcement of resultant judgments and awards – across sectors and industries, including Manufacturing, IT, Hospitality, Funds, Private Equity, Aviation etc. Mr. Khan previously spent over a decade working at a leading law firm.

Justice Mittal is an alumnus of Delhi’s Lady Irwin School and Lady Shri Ram College for Women. She completed her LL.B from the Faculty of Law, Delhi University, and enrolled as an advocate in 1981. She was appointed as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court in July 2004, and confirmed as a permanent judge less than two years later, in February 2006. She was appointed acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court on 14 April 2017.

After spending 12 years in the Delhi High Court (HC), she became the first woman Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir HC in August 2018 and retired in 2020. Post Justice Mittal’s retirement, she was appointed chairperson of the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) and was appointed as the chairperson of the Committee of Administrators (CoA) to manage the affairs of the TTFI, the governing body for table tennis in the country.

His excellency André Aranha Corrêa do Lago is the Ambassador of Brazil to India. A recognized architecture critic and writer has been a member of the prestigious Pritzker Prize jury and has served as the curator of the Brazilian Pavilion in the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale. Between 2011 and 2013, he was also Brazil’s Chief Negotiator for Climate Change and Sustainable Development, including for the Rio+20 UN Conference, which launched the Sustainable Development Goals. Between 2005 to 2016, André served as a member of the Architecture and Design Committee of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, and is currently a member of the International Council of MoMA.

Mr. Ravi is a partner at IndusLaw and advises on a broad range of corporate transactions, including public and private M&A transactions, private equity transactions and joint ventures, across a range of sectors. He is an expert on Indian securities regulations, especially the Indian Takeover and Delisting Regulations, having led high value and complex transactions. Most recently, Mr. Ravi has been ranked by Chambers and Partners Global and Asia-Pacific Guide 2022 for Corporate/M&A practice. He has also been recognized as a Rising Star in the Chambers & Partners Review Corporate/M&A and as a Notable Practitioner M&A in IFLR1000 ratings.

Dr. Pinky Anand, Former Additional Solicitor General of India & Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India:

Dr. Pinky Anand is a Senior Advocate and Former Additional Solicitor General at the Supreme Court of India with a distinguished practice in diverse areas. Ms. Pinky is a versatile, multifaceted person, author, social activist, and leading lawyer in diverse fields. Her accomplishments extend from legal expertise in media to politics to social activities.
She has worked tirelessly for the cause of social development and has achieved numerous milestones in her endeavour be it for the development of the country, the right of free speech, the eradication of malpractices or the protection of children.

Ms. Richa is currently the CFO for Pernod Ricard India. The French wine and spirits company houses some of the largest and finest selling whiskies and wines in India ranging from Seagram’s Imperial Blue, Royal Stag to The Glenlivet, Royal Salute, Jacob’s Creek and Perrier Jouet. She is a graduate from IIM Bangalore and has worked across FMCG and Medical Sector with P&G, Coca-Cola and Philips in senior country and regional roles, as well as crossed borders to general management and lead two start-ups that delivered accelerated growth under her leadership. Incidentally, she was also the recipient of CFO NEXT AWARD in 2013.

Ms. Shweta Rajpal Kohli is currently the Chief Public Policy Officer for Sequoia Capital India & Southeast Asia. Ms. Kohli drives the public policy agenda for the startup ecosystem and venture capital industry. She also advises Sequoia’s portfolio companies on regulatory risks and helps unlock new levers of growth. Ms. Shweta works with stakeholders to help create a progressive policy framework, and stitch together partnerships to align the vision of founders and governments.
Prior to joining Sequoia, Ms. Shweta led government outreach and advocacy efforts for Salesforce across India & South Asia.

Dr. Surat Singh, practices at the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court. After his seven years stint at Oxford and Harvard, Dr. Surat Singh returned to India and started his law career in 1992 with the then Attorney General of India, G. Ramaswamy.

Dr. Surat Singh’s list of professional achievements is long. To date, Dr. Surat Singh has successfully handled complex legal cases involving land & real estate properties. Ms. Vani Mehta is the General Counsel, General Electric South Asia. In her role as General Counsel for South Asia, she leads all the legal teams of the GE businesses in the region and ensures enterprise-wide consistency to GE’s legal strategy and approach. She is an advisor to the GE senior leadership in the region and drives GE’s thought leadership in the legal fraternity.
Before joining GE, Vani was an Attorney at SAP (Ariba) handling various jurisdictions across the globe. Prior to that, she was in private practice for several years with Little &Co. the oldest law firm of India and has worked extensively in both litigation (civil and criminal) and general corporate area of practice including securities & capital markets for several leading MNC’s across the globe in diverse industries.

Ms. Gulati is a lawyer having master’s degrees in both law and economics. She holds a Dual LL.M degree, first from NYU School of Law in US and Asian Business Trade Laws and second from NUS Faculty of Law, Singapore in Corporate and Financial Laws. She also holds a master’s degree in economics from Kings College London. Post LL.M, she joined Jindal Global Law School, India, in August 2010. Her interest in Competition Law inspired her to join Competition Commission of India in August, 2012, where she is currently posted as Joint Director (Law) in the Anti-Trust Division.

Mr. Manish joined the Leverage Finance team at Standard Chartered Bank in 2010 and helps arrange structured debt and acquisition financing for Indian corporates. Prior to joining SCB, Manish worked at Fitch Ratings in London in their Leveraged Finance group, with previous stints in Australia and India. Manish holds a BTech and MBA degree and has completed the High Potential Leadership Program from Harvard Business School and studied Behavioral Finance at INSEAD.

Mr. Kartikeya Sharma is a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in August 2022. He is a member of the Committee on Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme and Committee on Petitions.

Dr. Amee is a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. Dr. Yajnik has been a pro bono lawyer for women for the last 24 years and conducted numerous legal awareness programmes for women and gender justice related work at grass root level. Dr. Yajnik has been appointed as Member of Inquiry Committees in several high-profile matters. She was elected to the Rajya Sabha in April 2018.

Dr. Kanimozhi is a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha who was elected to the Rajya Sabha in September 2021. She is a Member in the Committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports and Committee on Empowerment of Women.

Mr. Evans has 15 years’ experience advising clients on business-critical Information Technology, Intellectual Property and general commercial issues. He has a particular interest in the technology, financial services, life science and healthcare care sectors, and is co-head of the firm’s Asia (ex-China) pharmaceuticals sector.

Harry has advised clients on a wide range of complex, multi-jurisdictional and high-value commercial arrangements. Mr. Yash Ashar is a Partner and Head of the Capital Markets practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. He is an experienced practitioner in Indian securities law. Yash has been associated with a number of equity and debt capital market transactions including initial public offerings, qualified institutional placements, follow-on offerings, rights offerings, ADRs, GDRs and FCCBs.

He has also advised on various INVITs and REITs set up in India. He has advised on several pioneering capital markets transactions involving India’s leading corporates, technology companies and global and domestic investment banks. He also advises on matters relating to compliance with securities regulation, such as insider trading and compliance with listing requirements.

Mr. Vinod Kumar Menon is a corporate and commercial legal professional with over 25 years of experience in M&A, cross border investments, and PE & venture capital transactions. He presently works with Accel India, a Silicon Valley based venture fund, as General Counsel -India. He leads Accel’s legal and compliance team in India, which comprises of six members, in their advisory work across investments, divestments and portfolio management.

With more than 25 years of experience as corporate counsel, Mr. Kumar has handled numerous PE and venture capital transactions and several domestic and international legal and regulatory assignments. In over 11 years of corporate in-house experience at Accel, he has worked with the founders and CEOs of some of India’s largest and most successful companies and gained exposure to high value PE/venture capital deals, shareholders agreements, high stakes litigations, M&A transactions and comprehensive legal due diligence.

Mr. Vinayak Mishra is the General Counsel at Lightspeed India Partners, specialising in PE and VC transactions. After having spent over a decade with various leading law firms in India, he joined Lightspeed India Partners to set up their legal team for India and Southeast Asia. At Lightspeed, in addition to overseeing deal execution for investment and exit deals, Mr. Vinayak is also responsible for advising the fund and companies / founders backed by it on various legal and risk matters.

Ms. Vinati Kastia is a Partner at AZB & Partners. Ms Kastia advises on several matters relating to corporate and commercial transactions, corporate governance, financial reporting and regulatory investigations and enforcements. She has represented stakeholders including auditors, on matters arising from alleged corporate frauds. On the regulatory side she regularly advises clients on investigations and enforcements by the Enforcement Directorate (under PMLA and FEMA), ICAI and NFRA.

She has worked on several cross–border M&A transactions, both inbound and outbound and also has extensive experience in corporate restructurings, including court/tribunal approved mergers, de–mergers and capital restructurings. Ms. Vasudha Sharma is the Vice President (Legal) at Accenture. She has worked as a legal professional since 2004. Vasudha is also a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales [non-practicing] and is a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from IAPP. She started her career with litigation and moved to corporate as an in-house counsel with a Knowledge Process Outsourcing firm and Accenture as a legal counsel since 2009. At Accenture, she has been involved in various areas of legal advisory like employment law, general corporate, global compliances and data protection.

Ms. Upasana Rao is a Partner at Trilegal. Her work focuses on M&A, private equity, venture capital and corporate restructuring. She has advised on transactions across various sectors including energy, infrastructure, chemicals, real estate, financial services, e-commerce and technology start-ups. She has also advised on impact investments in the areas of microfinance, e-mobility, affordable housing, sustainable agriculture, energy transition and waste management. Ms. Rao is engaged in policy advocacy with the Impact Investors Council of India for creating an ecosystem for sustainable investing and with the FICCI ESG committee.

Mr. Tomas Furlong is a Singapore-based commercial arbitration lawyer with a long history of acting on India related disputes.  He has a general practice, with a particular focus on helping private capital, energy and tech/telco clients, dealing with fraud, joint venture and commercial disputes. He acts as counsel and arbitrator (SIAC, ICC, MCIA, HKIAC, LCIA and CIETAC) and assists clients with injunctions, set aside/enforcement and arbitrator challenge proceedings around the world, particularly in Singapore. In southeast Asia, he is part of a diverse ten partner arbitration practice spread across Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta (Southeast Asia team).  This team covers arbitration, cross border litigation and regulatory issues, and appears in the courts of Thailand and Indonesia.  The Southeast Asia team works with the firm’s arbitration and litigation teams around the world, most regularly in Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo and London.

Ms. Sonal Mattoo is a lawyer with over 27 years of post-qualification work experience. She founded Helping Hands, in 1996, which helps implement policies against Sexual Harassment/ gender sensitization and other forms of harassment and discrimination at the workplace, besides carrying out training and investigation on complaints filed with the organization. 495Prof. (Dr.) S.G. Sreejith is Professor and Executive Dean, Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University). He holds LL.D. (with high honours) from the University of Lapland, M.Phil. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, M.B.L. and LL.B. both from the University of Kerala. Prior to joining JGLS, he worked with reputed institutions like the Arctic Centre, the University of Lapland, National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), and the University of Kerala. He is the author of “Transcending Jurisprudence: A Critique of the Architectonics of International Law” (Lapland: Lapland University Press, 2010). He has also published in several reputed international journals.

Professor Sreejith is the winner of AAAF Brun Award and Medal instituted by the Association Aeronautique ET Astronautique De France. He has been awarded the “CIMO Fellowship” of the Government of Finland (2004) and the research grants of “Ella and Georg Ehnrooth Foundation” (2007), “Finnish Cultural Foundation” (2008), and “Finnish Lawyers’ Association (2009). His areas of interest are public international law, heterodox approaches to international legal thought, and air and space law. He is the Study Group Chair for Public International Law, International Association of Law Schools (IALS). He was also the CNISCO Overseas Visiting Fellow, at the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law.

Mr. Sidharth Luthra was admitted to the Bar at Delhi in 1991 and designated as a Senior Advocate in 2007. He was appointed as Additional Solicitor General for India at the Supreme Court of India from 6th July, 2012 for a 2-year term. He represented the Union and State Governments in a variety of matters including those relating to fundamental rights, criminal law, juvenile rights, environment laws, electoral reform, education and policy issues. Prior to this he acted as Government Advocate to assist the Judges Inquiry Committee in regard to the investigation into the misbehaviour alleged against Justice Soumitra Sen, Judge, High Court of Calcutta under Article 217 of the Constitution of India in (second impeachment after the Indian Constitution came into force in 1950).

Ms. Sherina Petit is a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright in London and head of the international arbitration practice and the India practice. She has a wide range of experience in all key aspects of international arbitration, across a broad range of industries including energy, construction, oil and gas, trade, transport, pharmaceuticals, finance and technology. She represents clients across the globe before all major arbitral institutions including the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) as well as in ad hoc proceedings. Ms. Shelly Kohli is currently the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at United Breweries Ltd. A corporate lawyer with over 20 years of experience, having worked both in private practice and as an in-house lawyer in senior management roles with large global corporations. A dual-qualified lawyer enrolled to practice in India and in the State of New York, USA. She has worked with some of the major industrial and retail companies such as General Electric and Unilever. She has experience in handling complex commercial transactions, litigation, arbitration, employment, real estate, and intellectual property issues, and corporate and regulatory compliance. Ms. Kohli has led regional strategic initiatives to accelerate business growth and efficiency and at present, as UBL’s Management Team, she oversees the legal and compliance, corporate, litigation, and intellectual property legal and compliance internationally. She is the strategic legal advisor to the Board and Senior Management.

Ms. Sharmila Barathan is the Government Affairs & Policy Leader of GE South Asia, including the John F Welch Technology Center in Bengaluru. She is one of the contributing authors to the Third Assessment Report (Chapter 9, Working Group III) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. She’s worked in Europe, South Asia and East Asia, handling business portfolios across energy, healthcare, aviation, and transportation. Sharmila has been a consultant to the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation and the Embassy of Switzerland. She was the reviewer at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, and a Member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Steering Group. She is an alumnus of Stanford University, USA and IIM Bangalore, India.

Ms. Shahana Chatterji is a Partner with the Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. She has been deeply involved with policy and regulatory issues both in India and in the United States. She has worked with a Representative at the U.S. Congress, Washington D.C., engaging in expansive legislative and policy matters ranging from healthcare and financial reforms. Shahana currently works on a range of policy matters, with a specialsation in data and technology. Mr. Satyajit Gupta is a dual-qualified lawyer (India and England) with over two decades’ work experience in top law practices, and is currently the Vice President, Head of India Legal & CSR at EXL. Satyajit’s work encompasses intellectual property, M&A and general corporate matters, labour & employment laws, contracting, IT and privacy laws. Dr. Sasmit Patra is an Indian politician and a member of the Biju Janata Dal. Since 28 June 2019, he has been a member of the Parliament of India, representing Odisha in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house, and appointed chief whip of the party. He is currently the Spokesperson of Biju Janata Dal. His father was Swarupananda Patra, the former president of the Odisha Minority Forum (OMF). Mr. Patra was renominated to the Rajya Sabha by Biju Janata Dal for the second time in May 2022.

Dr. Sanjeev Gemawat is a General Counsel at Vedanta Group. He is a Corporate Lawyer, CA, Cost Accountant and CS from India and the UK. He has nearly three decades of experience as head of legal, taxation, risk & compliance, regulatory, corporate & secretarial functions of esteemed corporates. He has been recognized as one of “India’s finest in-house counsels” and has been honored for his outstanding contribution towards in-house legal community by ICCA and the Law Society of England & Wales. He regularly expresses his views on contemporary legal and commercial issues as Guest speaker and Expert. Ms. Roopa Prasad Doraswamy is a seasoned attorney with over 25 years of experience as a lawyer, founder, mentor, and law practice incubator. A graduate of NLSIU, Bangalore and Northeastern University School of Law, Boston, Roopa’s career in the law includes clerking with the judges of a court system in the United States, working at one of Boston’s largest law firms, being the Head of Legal at Infosys Technologies Limited and founding a law firm that went on to become of one India’s largest. . Mr. Richard Porter is a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions practice at Shearman and Sterling in Singapore. He advises on a wide range of cross-border corporate transactions, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity issues and restructurings. He is also a member of Shearman & Sterling’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Energy and Private Capital industry groups. Ms. Rihab Dias is the General Counsel (Legal & Compliance) at Upekkha. Her primary areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, covering structuring, corporate, foreign exchange and contract law advice and documentation. In such cases, she has advised both Indian targets and overseas acquirers (including, multinationals and PE/VC funds).

Mr. Ratnadeep Roychowdhury, Leader, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity, Nishith Desai Associates, has 16 years of experience as a commercial lawyer, advising on some of India’s high profile M&A transactions and corporate disputes. He brings a unique mix of transactional experience and expertise in leading high profile, high stakes corporate litigation. Mr Rakesh Prusti is an experienced General Counsel (GC) with over 26 years of experience in diverse and complex ecosystems across geographies. He is also a Company Secretary and Cost & Works Accountant. Mr Prusti is a member of the Risk Management Committee and the boards of group companies at OYO. Over the last two decades in GC Roles, he led global and domestic strategic and inorganic initiatives, managed cross-border M&A, high-stakes dispute resolutions, enterprise risk management, corporate governance and compliance, international legal strategy, corporate restructuring and policy advocacy. At OYO, through 2018-19, he led multiple billion dollars fundraises for its subsidiaries and JVs driving the company’s global expansion. Hon’ble Dr. Justice D.Y Chandrachud is currently serving as the 50th Chief Justice of India. A graduate of Mathematics and Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, he went on to pursue a career in law. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from Delhi University and a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School. Justice Chandrachud also completed a Doctorate of Juridical Science from Harvard in 1986, which focused on the various aspects of affirmative legal action. After completing his doctorate from Harvard, he worked at Sullivan and Cromwell.

On his return to India, he practised law at the Supreme Court of India and the Bombay High Court and was designated as a Senior Advocate in June of 1998. Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, a Rhodes Scholar, is the Founding Vice Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) in India. Justice Bela M. Trivedi, was elevated as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India on 31st August, 2021.She was deputed as the Law Secretary of the Gujarat State Government between 2004 to 2006. She then served as a member of the Judicial Services. In 2011, she was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Gujarat High Court. After her transfer to the Rajasthan High Court, she was confirmed as permanent Judge of the Rajasthan High Court in 2013. In 2016, she was transferred back to her parent High Court in Gujarat. She remained at the Court for five years. In 2021, she was elevated to the Supreme Court of India.

Justice Surya Kant was elevated to the Supreme Court of India in 2019. He is the former Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court and Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Justice Michael D. Wilson was appointed as the judge of the Hawaii Supreme Court in 2014, for a term set to expire in April 2024.
