 About AIB Conference

It is the annual conference of the South Asia Chapter of the Academy of International Business (AIB). The conference provides AIB members in the region (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka) opportunities to exchange ideas, present their research, and create professional contacts. Jindal Global Business School and Jindal School of Banking & Finance at O. P. Jindal Global University are glad to host this conference. The conference theme is Environment Sustainability and Governance. Issues in International Business and Trade, along with the following sub-themes:

  • Approach of MNEs toward environmental sustainability and governance
  • Environment sustainability and governance in South Asia and other developing countries
  • Impact of sustainability and governance on Global Supply Chain, International Finance and Accounting, International Marketing, International Taxation, and International Arbitration
  • Role of emerging technologies and preparedness of the industry in responding to resilience, environmental sustainability and governance issues
  • Public policy such as the national guidelines for responsible business conduct

Best Paper Awards

Best Paper Awards: Top research papers presented for each track at the conference will be considered for the “Best Paper” award.

Doctoral Student Awards: The conference also aims to contribute towards a transformative journey for a doctoral scholar, who will learn the nuances of a research journey and receive feedback on their research and publications. The top three doctoral scholars’ research papers presented at the conference will be considered for the “Best Doctoral Paper” award.

 

Publications Opportunities

The conference also brings publication opportunities in reputed journal and books:

Journal publications– The best quality submitted papers for the conference would be invited for submission in International Journal of Logistics Management (ABDC-A), Sustainable Production and Consumption (Scopus, Q1), Electronics Commerce Journal (ABDC-A) for further review as per the scope of the journal.

Book chapter publications– The best quality submitted papers would also be invited for publication in Scopus indexed edited books with renowned publishers such as River, CRC, De Gruyter etc. for further review as per scope.

Submissions Guidelines

All manuscript submissions must contain 150-word abstract and follow the JIBS style guide, which is avilable at : http://www.palgrave-journals.com/jibs/style_guide.html

Competitive papers

  • Held in the regular paper sessions, the competitive papers are classified as ones at more advanced stages and need more direct action-oriented feedback. The maximum length of competitive papers is 25 double-spaced (A4) pages.  

 

Interactive sessions

Held in the roundtable format, interactive sessions cater to work-in-progress manuscripts. Participants are encouraged to send in their articles in research note formats. The submissions benefit from directional feedback from the track chair and/or other participants.  

Panel proposals

The panel sessions are conducted to have a focused discussion on a common theme. We welcome panel themes on topics relevant to IB, with special emphasis on topics related to the conference theme.
