Three students from Jindal School of Environment & Sustainability (JSES) participated in the Virtual International Summer Program 2021 organised by Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), Republic of Indonesia, in collaboration with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Indonesia University of Education) and Borneo Marine Research Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Malaysia. The Summer Program was also supported by Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand.
The theme and focus of the Program, conducted between 30 August 2021 and 17 September 2021, was ‘Marine Tourism and Coastal Vulnerability: Prediction, Assessment, and Adaptation’. The three JSES students who were extended a full fee waiver by the organisers, were Shubda Moond, Ashirita V. Dewan and Mohammed Anas Islam Khan. They, second year students of the B.A. (Hons.) Environmental Studies programme, were among the 186 participants of the Summer Program who came from 15 nations and 28 different universities of the world.
