All-Nighters – By Nemo

We have all been there. We have all done that. Any law student who has not pulled an all-nighter yet, please, let me know how. When my last exam got over, a delightfully easy Spanish paper, I slept. Like I have never slept before.

What kept me sane during that time? Random rhymes here and there.

If you want a throwback to Finals week, take a look?

It is that time of the year again

When darkness becomes your friend

Coffee and Maggi are your weapons

It will feel like your modules never end.

Hours spent binge-watching shows

Or just chilling with your roomies on the lawn

All these moments will catch up on you

As you study history and stifle a yawn.

The clock will inch towards 3am

As you desperately memorize your family law case list

Various sections of the IPC will float in your head

Economic concepts will get lost in the midnight mist.

The corridors will be full of murmurs

As people discuss how much they have done

You will feel like everyone is ahead of you

You want to drop everything and run.

As the sunrays emerge, you throw the 8th coffee cup in the bin

And wrap the blanket around you tighter

You shut your books to eat your roll from the Bistro

And silently praise yourself for a successful all-nighter

(…Until you have to do it all over again the next night)
